Mark, companion of Peter and Paul, wrote the shortest of the four Gospels. Tradition names him founder of the Church in Alexandria.

Fifth Mystery: The Coronation of Mary

“A great sign was seen in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.”Revelation 12:1

Mary is crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth by her Son. She reigns as Queen and Mother, interceding for all her children.

O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant, we pray, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, his Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
