First Mystery: The Resurrection

The Resurrection card
“He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.”Matthew 28:6

On the third day Jesus rises gloriously from the dead. The angel at the empty tomb tells the holy women not to be afraid, and the risen Lord Himself meets them.

Fruit of the mystery: Faith

Prayer to Saint Michael

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Pope Leo XIII, 1886
